GEN-X SOFT CLUB: THE FUTURE WE WERE PROMISED BUT NEVER HAD
Complex yet simple. Nostalgic late '90s - early 2000’s urban futurism through muted palettes, minimalist silhouettes, and metropolitan architecture. Influenced by the solitude of underground transit, industrial cityscapes, and the melancholic music/sounds of trip-hop, electronica, and downtempo. A nostalgic vision of a future once imagined.
Look 1 - Grey rib-knit cotton floor-length dress featuring a turtleneck and mid-length sleeves, accented with muted green suede paneling appliqué and hand-embroidered clear crystal beading.
Look 2 - Dark grey cotton corset, accented with grey suede bias detailing, hand-embroidered silver pearls, and custom hand-felted blue wool |Greige oversized faux-leather trousers featuring white silk yoke detailing at the center front | White silk halter top featuring a white leather turtleneck collar and leather detailing.
Look 3 - White leather V-neck structured vest featuring angular cutouts, an elongated back train, and peekaboo shoulder-cap detailing |White leather micro miniskirt | Custom Janea Couture embellished Y2K CD-ROM and over-ear headphones, adorned with clear and white crystal embellishments.
Look 4 - Suede jacket with custom composite textile composed of 7 types of leather, including crocodile-textured, embossed, and waxed leather. Leather piece individually cut and stitched to create mosaic textile, finished with fully navy green/grey suede sleeves | Black faux-leather elongated skirt featuring custom Janea Couture logo zipper hardware | Custom Janea Couture Y2K CD-ROM and over-ear headphones, embellished with black and blue crystals.
